At the Earlier start time (7.30pm) to other Monthly Meetings:
Instead of a talk at our March meeting, we’re having a repeat of last year’s successful practical evening when members (and non-members) can bring their equipment to discuss their problems – and find solutions - with more experienced fellow members.
Don’t worry that your equipment problem is too trivial to bring up – any problem that stops you enjoying your hobby is a problem needing a solution – and we can provide it!
More expert astronomers, whom we would love to see to help other less experienced members, please come along with equipment if possible.
Even if you don’t (yet) have equipment of your own, come and see the Society’s loan equipment and discuss its loan to you to help you in your hobby.
So, equipment or not, come along and have a relaxing evening with like-minded people. 7.30 pm - 9.45 pm indoors, viewing in car park after 10 pm if clear skies.
Entrance will be free to members, £4 for non-members.
Bring along your telescope and mount whether you wish to receive help or if you would like to show others your setup. Support those that need help with your knowledge and experience.
Receive help and guidance with imaging. Are you new to this and don’t know where to start? What equipment do you need? Have you started imaging and are having problems? How to go about processing images. Some demonstrations, hopefully.
Knowledgeable members will be on hand to discuss anything astronomical including finding your way around the sky.
Information and support for Solar viewing.
Would you like some help or advice on photography and camera equipment?
Weather permitting, viewing with telescopes in carpark after 10 pm.
